Second year undergrad students of the 2015-2018 batch can register for electives of their choice as per the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) on November 4, between 10 to 11 AM. The electives can be selected online and will be allotted on a ‘first come, first served” basis.

The students can login to the college website at sjcblr.co.in and use their student login information to access the electives available to them and apply for the same.

Dr. Syed Wajeed, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Coordinator of CBCS, informed the students on Thursday that the guidelines and syllabii of the electives will soon be available on the college website as well as on the SJC app.

The students will be alerted about the registration date through SMS as well as a notification on the SJC app. Mid-semester exams will not be held for the electives and there will be only one paper for the finals worth 50 marks consisting of 15 marks internals, including attendance, and 35 marks for the final exams.

Students from the physical sciences, natural sciences, and humanities courses need to opt for three open electives whereas B.Com and professional course students must apply for only two, in addition to three department electives. Students cannot opt for electives that overlap with their core courses.
