Alchemy invites talents from all over

The St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) postgraduate Chemistry society PG Chemical Society organised the intercollegiate chemistry fest Alchemy in remembrance of Fr Joseph C Nelapaty SJ on Wednesday, February 20. The chemists at SJC chose the Periodic Table as the theme for Alchemy this year. The fest was filled with enthusiasm and frolic as participants battled it out in a plethora of interesting events connecting Chemistry to the real world.

There were over 70 students from six colleges who participated in the events. “The quiz was a challenging but interesting. Our team had a great experience. There was learning as well as fun,” said Stuti Talwar from St Francis De Sales College, Bengaluru. “The turnout was more than expected, considering this is the revival of the fest after four years,” said Nikhil Rao, a student volunteer from the college.

He added: “The whole event is based on the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table, which is the theme of our fest, and hence we have all our events related to it.”
