St. Joseph's College, 36 Lalbagh Road, Bangalore, Karnataka
The Hindi Department was established in 1951 in St. Josephs College. The Hindi Parishad was also started in the same year. A number of activities based on Hindi Literature, culture which bring out the talents in students are organized every year. The Parishad also actively participates in the science exhibitions organized in College. It has four clubs namely the literary club, Entertainment club, Thinkers club and Laughter club. Students are also encouraged to participate in inter-collegiate fests. Students are awarded prizes and credits for the same.
To develop student’s wide range of linguistic Skills with a view to enhancing the process of mutual respectful dialogues between people of diverse social backgrounds in an increasingly plural and multicultural India.
