SPORTS

Sports play a crucial role in the all-round development of a student. When effective pedagogic practices form one part of good education, sports enable students to lead a life of fitness and sharpen their competitive spirit. In the contemporary world of team work, quick decision making, and effective manoeuvring, sporting activities provide multi-layered skills to succeed in the world.

The Department of physical Education keeps a keen eye to spot and develop talented sportspersons. Vikram Kanth (Hockey), KP Roy (Hockey), Thimmiah (Hockey), Pundalika YB (Hockey), Reshma Millet (Swimming), Prajwal B(Taekwondo), Sabiya S (Throw Ball), Shankara Narayanan are few of our former students who have represented the country in their respective sports. Inter-class sports competitions are held to encourage maximum participation of students in sports and games. Representing the College in University level, state level, International levels are encouraged wholeheartedly by the Institution.

The College has teams for Athletic, Chess, Cricket, Basketball, Football, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Throwball, Volleyball. .

A separate block is provided for sports named 'MAGIS'.

It is conducted to build team spirit among the students. UG and PG students are given equal opportunity to participate and win in various games and events. The games conducted are Basket Ball, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, Foot Ball, Kabaddi, Shuttle Badminton, Throw Ball and Volleyball.

It creates a positive and competitive bonding among the students. UG and PG will be given an opportunity to participate separately in the athletic events as per the schedule. All the students will march with great pride holding a flag designed by the class with a slogan on it to make all aware of the idea of their thoughts while they march. Tug of war is a major event on this day for which every one awaits.


Our main aim is to encourage sports and to maintain a friendly relationship with other colleges. The games organized in 2020 was Basketball, Carrom, Shuttle Badminton, Throw Ball and Volleyball.
