Elephant Habitat Survey
It is an annual survey conducted by A Rocha, India and the forest department. It involved the Karadikal Mahadeshwara Elephant Corridor. The survey conducted at this time was the wet season survey. It involved a person each from A Rocha and forest department and two volunteers. Mr. Dilip coordinated from A Rocha. The stay in A Rocha was from 4/6/2020 to 7/6/2020. The first day was briefing by Mr. Avinash. The second day in the morning there was an event conducted by the forest department regarding world environment day in JP Nagar, where the MP and other officials planted saplings and involved data entry from previous surveys. On 6/6/2020 the survey was carried in Mahadeshwara wildlife range, Anekal. On 7/6/2020 the survey was conducted in Ragihalli state forest and Thattekere, Ramanagar.

Online webinars that took place during the lockdown

The lockdown was not able to stop our enthusiasm the Natural Science Association came out with an idea to conduct online webinars on different topics, and reach out to all the students and other enthusiast across the world to be a part of these webinars.
International webinar on Moth Diversity, Ecology and conservation , National webinar on Perspectives on Tiger Conservation, International webinar on Studying abroad and career prospects for the life science students, Skadoosh,etc were some of the events. Resource persons, Wildlife veterinarians, Students with experiences in the field of trekking, marine sciences etc. Photography contest, story and poem writing contest etc. were conducted through online mode in the past 8 months, which went on high note and became successful with huge responses pouring in with people and students all over the world joining in.
